Parental self-knowledge refers to a parent's deep awareness of their core personality traits, inner emotions, foundational beliefs, and personal motivations that directly influence their parenting behaviors and parent-child interactions. The internalization of morality is defined as the psychological process through which a child willingly accepts moral values and societal norms, adhering to them independently without relying on external monitoring, rewards, or punishments. Furthermore, self-control represents the child's developing ability to curb impulses and effectively regulate emotions and behaviors. The present study aims to investigate and elucidate the crucial role of parental self-knowledge in fostering the internalization of morality and self-control in children. Employing a descriptive-analytical method based on library resources and literature in education, developmental psychology, and family studies, the findings indicate that parental self-knowledge enhances emotional regulation, behavioral-verbal consistency, and thoughtful, measured disciplinary reactions. Ultimately, this creates a secure environment and a strong model for the child, providing greater opportunities to internalize moral values and cultivate self-regulation.
