Family crises, including divorce, domestic violence, addiction, and poverty, have destructive effects on children’s mental health and expose them to anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. In this context, strengthening psychological resilience, as the ability to cope effectively with hardships, can play a protective role. This study examines the function of religious upbringing in strengthening children’s psychological resilience in family crises. The findings show that the components of Islamic resilience, including patience, trust in God (tawakkul), certainty (yaqin), contentment (rida), gratitude, supplication (du‘a), and hope, can significantly strengthen children’s resilience in times of crisis. These components operate at three levels—individual, family, and social—and create a comprehensive support network for the child. Parents and educators play a central role in this process through role modeling, creating a safe emotional environment, engaging in effective dialogue, teaching problem‑solving skills, and strengthening social support. Practical strategies include planning regular religious education, using appropriate media, cooperating with religious centers, caring for parents’ mental health, and creating opportunities for social service. Religious upbringing not only helps children face current crises but also prepares them to cope with future hardships and nurtures a healthy, hopeful, and committed generation that can play a positive role in the growth and advancement of the Islamic community.
