The spread of digital media and easy access of children and adolescents to cyberspace have presented family education methods with fundamental challenges and have doubled the need to review media education models. The present study was conducted with the aim of identifying family solutions in creating a safe media environment for children and adolescents and focuses on the supervisory, managerial, and preventive dimensions of the role of parents. In the supervisory dimension, the use of parental control software, limiting the time and place of media use, and conscious monitoring of online activities are among the most important solutions. In the managerial dimension, daily planning, media literacy training, selecting age-appropriate content, and parental role modeling are effective in proper media consumption. Also, cultivating modesty, self-esteem, family legislation, positive role modeling, and enriching leisure time are among the common preventive strategies among children and adolescents. The findings show that the family can provide a safe and ethical media environment by combining supervision, management, and preventive education.
