In Islamic teachings, hijab, beyond being a mere outward covering, is a strategy for upholding human dignity, preserving chastity, and a tool for regulating social relations based on religious identity, which bestows inner peace and external balance upon the individual. Aiming to explore the challenges facing religious families in promoting hijab, this research seeks to answer how religious values can be transmitted to the younger generation without resorting to coercion or harmful strictness. The primary concern of this study is to resolve the conflict between the commitment to religious upbringing and the avoidance of the destructive consequences of external imposition. To achieve this objective, a descriptive-analytical method was employed, utilizing library resources, religious texts, and educational psychology to extract an alternative model to authoritarian methods. The research findings indicate that a persuasive and endogenous approach possesses greater sustainability compared to instructional methods. The results suggest that instead of focusing solely on outward behaviors, families should concentrate on strengthening religious self-esteem, providing logical responses to doubts, and creating positive experiences of hijab within the emotional atmosphere of the family. Parental role modeling and the enhancement of educational literacy are the key drivers for transitioning from strictness toward the internalization of values. Ultimately, hijab must be redefined not as a limiting constraint, but as a conscious and honorable choice of the individual, to ensure its continuity and acceptability in future generations.
