Spirituality is one of the fundamental needs of human beings and a key factor in achieving individual and social well‑being. It has consistently been emphasized in religions and educational systems. A society enriched with deep spiritual values possesses greater resilience in confronting moral and cultural crises. In this regard, religious institutions—particularly seminaries—play a vital role in strengthening and transmitting spirituality to society, as seminary students are regarded as intellectual and spiritual guides for the people. However, this role becomes truly effective only when spirituality is internalized within students in a profound and enduring manner, rather than remaining at the level of outward behavior. The present study aims to clarify the concept of the internalization of spirituality and to propose practical approaches for its realization among seminary students. Using a descriptive–analytical method, the research draws upon Islamic sources, including the Qur’an, narrations, classical ethical works, as well as selected educational and psychological theories, to examine the foundations, factors, and obstacles related to internalization. The findings indicate that this process requires three essential pillars: first, strengthening deep religious understanding to avoid superficiality; second, self‑purification and continuous self‑monitoring to institutionalize moral self‑control; and third, modeling oneself after spiritually committed teachers and environments. Ultimately, seminary students can effectively convey authentic spirituality to society only when it becomes an integral and identity‑forming dimension of their own lives.
