The role of educators in the educational system, especially in the realm of religious upbringing, transcends the mere transmission of theoretical concepts. As practical role models, they play a fundamental role in strengthening religious identity, transferring moral values and beliefs, and fostering social cohesion. However, changes in lifestyle, the influence of media and cyberspace, the generational gap between educators and learners, and deficiencies in specialized training have weakened this role, leading to shortcomings in the religious upbringing of learners. The consequences of this include reduced interest in religious teachings, identity confusion, a trend toward immoral values, and decreased social cohesion. Using a qualitative content analysis method, this research examines the role-modeling of educators and its impact on the religious upbringing of learners, validating the findings against religious principles and previous studies. The results suggest that restoring the exemplary role of educators—through effective interaction between schools and families, elevating the social status of educators, empowering them with specialized training, updating religious content to meet the needs of the new generation, and utilizing modern educational technologies—can significantly enhance the religious and moral upbringing of learners. Furthermore, this approach will strengthen the religious and spiritual identity of students, contributing to improved social cohesion and a reduction in social anomalies within the community.
