Human beings are inevitably required to establish social relationships with others throughout their lives. Today, the expansion and diversity of these relationships have reached a point where they influence the formation of human personality and identity. Therefore, a portion of their talents and competencies blossoms in society. Women, too, can have a worthy presence in this vast arena, one aspect of which is employment. The employment of mothers can have various consequences and effects on children. The aim of this article is to examine the positive and negative effects of women's employment on children. To this end, the perspective of Islam and that of some scholars and psychologists have been examined in this writing, and as a result of this investigation, it was determined that women's employment causes negative effects regarding the child's education, intelligence, self-confidence, attachment, and delinquency. It also causes positive effects such as the improvement of status, comfort, welfare, improvement of the level of culture, and the self-confidence and social adaptation of children.
