In the complex and dynamic conditions of contemporary geopolitics, the Middle East region is facing emerging security and military threats that have gone beyond classic wars and have been upgraded to “third generation wars” or combined and asymmetric wars. These types of threats, which also include informational, psychological, economic, and cultural dimensions, require new and multilateral approaches to crisis management. In the meantime, the institution of the seminary and the educated class of students, as one of the main pillars of the Islamic society and the intellectual arm of the resistance, have played an undeniable role in maintaining spiritual and social security. The main purpose of this research is to analyze and explain the strategic role of students in managing crises resulting from the third generation of wars, relying on the successful model of jihad and resistance of the Holy Defense era, in order to provide practical lessons learned to deal with the challenges ahead. The present research method is descriptive-analytical and based on library study; Thus, by collecting documents, reference books, scientific articles, and statements of the great revolutionaries, the necessary data have been extracted and analyzed. The research findings show that students, by utilizing their spiritual capacities, religious awareness, and social influence, have been able to increase the resilience of society and prevent the collapse of national spirit during the Holy Defense.
