This paper aims to analyze and explain the fundamental impacts of digital media, social networks, and cyberspace on the contemporary family structure and the deepening of generation gaps. Relying on theories of media ecology and family sociology, this article argues that the digital space, beyond serving as a mere communication tool, acts as a new ecosystem for families and is actively redefining values, interactions, and intra-familial authority. The findings of this research indicate four fundamental transformations in this context: first, the emergence of networked families with a horizontal structure; second, the redefinition of privacy and intimacy in cyberspace; third, the formation of multi-faceted socialization patterns; and finally, the deepening of the digital gap between generations, which manifests in identity, value, and behavioral differences. By employing a descriptive-analytical method, this paper examines the complex interaction between media, generations, and the family, illustrating how this new ecosystem has fundamentally altered traditional family systems. Finally, this research emphasizes the necessity of gaining a deep understanding of these transformations to provide precise solutions for managing the challenges posed by technological penetration into the family institution, thereby fostering a secure environment for intergenerational interaction.
